The Badger Hydrovac System can excavate trenches as narrow as 3” wide, otherwise known as trenching slot trenching. This process involves excavating narrow trenches to install pipes, cables or other in-ground utilities.
Badger hydro excavation is the preferred method for this type of application due to its precise, non-mechanical, non-destructive and efficient slot trenching characteristics. Slot trenches are commonly used for investigative or installation purposes.
In medium-density soil conditions, Badger Crews can excavate over 300’ of slot trench per day (3” wide x 3’ deep).
Applications
- Perimeter (exploratory) slot trenching
- Expose existing cables or conduits
- Cable or conduit installation
- Drain tile installation
- Line fault repairs
