Some municipalities require air testing of pipework.
Air testing involves the plugging of each end of the pipe to test the whole line. If a failure is found, the leak can be accurately located by testing the pipe in sections. Air testing is performed in conjunction with Flushing and CCTV operations or carried out independently to give an indication of defective pipework.
